PHCL 2009

Sixty-five organizations and businesses, along with many community volunteers, came together in a unique collaboration to organize Lincoln’s first Project Homeless Connect event held on October 23, 2009.  The purpose of Project Homeless Connect was to provide a one-day, one-stop shop of health and human services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Lincoln.  Over 185 people who were homeless were connected to essential legal, medical, economic, personal care, and human services. Event sponsors were the Lincoln Homeless Coalition, Center for People in Need, and Ayars & Ayars.
